Housekeeper Job Duties:

  • Clean guestrooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms and other work areas so that health standards are met.
  • Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaners and/or shampooers.
  • Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.
  • Dust and polish furniture and equipment.
  • Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy.
  • Use only approved chemicals and follow all hotel safety standards.
  • Replenish supplies such as drinking glasses, linens, writing supplies, and bathroom items
  • Sort, count, and mark clean linens, and store them in linen closets.
  • Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing and polishing as necessary.
  • Disinfect equipment and supplies, using germicides or steam-operated sterilizers.
  • Observe precautions required to protect hotel and guest property, and report damage, theft, and found articles to supervisors.
  • Complete 16 rooms per day per hotel standards established by hotel management
  • Must be flexible for all shifts
  • Dress code: black leggings and black shoes

Housemen Job Duties:

  • Provides professional and courteous service at all times.
  • Cleans and maintains all public areas, storage areas and administrative areas.
  • Clean rooms on request
  • Run supplies and service items to guestrooms as requested
  • Dusts, vacuums and overall maintains all public areas, hallways, restaurants, bars, rest areas and other spaces assigned.
  • Polishes metalwork and furniture.
  • Collects soiled linens for laundering and received and stores linen supplies in appropriate locations.
  • Vacuums floors.
  • Cleans restrooms.
  • Removes trash
  • Office cleaning
  • Refurnishes areas with supplies as required.
  • Removes and disposes of trash.
  • Clean outside areas including covered porch entryway and other arrival areas.
  • Attends monthly department meetings.
  • Completes projects as determined by executive housekeeper.
  • Must be flexible for all shifts
  • Dress code: Black slacks and black shoes

Job Requirements:

  • Top notch in providing Customer and personal services.
  • Understand simple instructions.
  • Able to squat, bend, lift, climb, and balance.
  • Read and execute banquet event orders.
  • Work outdoors in all kinds of weather.
  • Learn simple procedures and techniques.
  • Perform routine work or the same task over and over again.
  • Be available for work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Required Knowledge:

Customer and Personal Service : Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
