Position Purpose Summary:  The Quality Technician is responsible for daily in-process assessments of the integrity and quality of the product, ensuring GMP requirements are met. This is a temp to perm job opportunity. Pay is $11.50

Principal Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and complete records of work performed such as daily production checklist on all equipment. Some checklists include metal detection, SSOPs and other pre-requisite programs.
  • Monitor inbound product; complete receiving reports in a timely and effective manner.
  • Recognize and take action to correct apparent discrepancies found in product/process inspection.  Notify quality manager when discrepancies are found. Place product on hold if necessary.
  • Complete daily GMP Pre-Operational checklist and GMP daily inspection sheets.
  • Verify product codes for accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor all traffic hurdles and document findings on a daily basis.
  • Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner to meet or exceed OSHA standards.
  • Follows SOP, GMP and Federal and State regulations

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Above average skills in attendance
  • Basic computer processing skills
    • Preferred experience with Microsoft Word, Excel & Adobe PDF.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

Physical Demands of the Position:

  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee must possess manual dexterity required for using hand tools and operating machinery; ability to lift up to 50 pounds; able to stand or walk for prolonged periods.

Work Environment:

  • While performing duties of this position, the employee will be exposed to wet and slippery floors, occasionally moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud; variable temperatures of both heat and cold.

Quality Inspector: Cambridge, MD

Currently seeking a Quality Inspector for a temp to perm job opportunity with an established manufacturing company in Cambridge, MD. 

Responsibilities of a Quality Inspector:

  • Interested candidates should be knowledgeable of documentation procedures, blue prints, and use of hand measuring tools.
  • Responsible for the incoming, in process and final inspection of all components purchased and/or produced
  • Must be able to consistently and efficiently preform all duties of the position with specifications and within quality and productivity guidelines of each product and/or process
  • Must be able to use hand measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers as well as optical tools such as Profile Projector and Toolmakers microscope
  • Ability to use Microscope for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to read blue prints, routers, procedures, and look up and interpret Customer and Industry standard specifications
  • Have an understanding of Job Boss to the extent of making transactions
  • Complete and maintain required documentation such as time cards, routers, TMI’s, MRB’s, First Article Inspections, IMR’s and Sample Fixture sheets
  • Utilize all necessary procedures and prints for inspecting parts for visual as well as dimensional characteristics
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Notify Manager of problems or unusual conditions that arise
  • Pay: $11.75
  • Required to work 4 ten hour shifts per week
  • NO Felonies on your background

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist the training of new Associates
  • Able to work in in other departments throughout the facility
  • Preform Housekeeping duties such as painting, mopping, sweeping, etc.
  • Assist in the start up and shut down operations of the plating tanks, changing filters of the tanks and filling and emptying of the rinse tanks
  • Wire and unwire parts on racks and on staking and/or brazing pole cans

Job requirements of a Quality Inspector:

  • MUST have high school diploma or equivalent
  • MUST have at least 1 year of Quality Inspector experience
  • MUST have at least 1 year of Assembly experience
  • MUST have at least 1 year of experience using Calipers
  • MUST have a clean background
  • MUST be able to pass a drug test
